If you are skill with soldering, you can choose to connect the N64 console and the mod kits by soldering with the flex cable. If soldering flex cable is difficult for you, you can connect the HDMI PCB to N64 motherboard by wires. DO NOT connect the digital mod with the console using the 2 ways at the same time.
It sometimes helps to use some IPA inside the connector and reinsert the flex a couple of times to dislodge them.
If you do not get video and/or audio, verify the audio/video work using a composite video cable + analog audio.
connection with the jumper pak / game cartridge.
There are four different DAC chips of N64 console mainboard. Pin listings are refer to the picture.
For this guide, AVDC-NUS is the same as MAV-NUS.
(Note- Using this method, HDMI signal is weaker than welded ribbon cables.)
The DENC-NUS, MAV-NUS, and AVDC-NUS are also the same installation method. Just the pins arrangement are different.
Connect the D0,D1,D2,D3,D4,D5,D6, GND,3V3,CLK,Dsync,IC6,IC7,IC10,CON,5V of the HDMI PCB board to the N64 motherboard.
Note: The RC, RST and T don’t need to be connected.
